“I would have no clue how to pose or what to do in front of a camera!” is a concern I often hear from potential clients. They love the beautiful images they see in their favourite fashion magazines and want similar ones for themselves but don’t know how to achieve that ‘Cover Girl’ look. I know, from personal experience being photographed, that what they’re really saying is that they don’t want to look or feel stupid. In response I always say, “Don’t worry, I’ve got you.”
That’s because, when I photograph clients, I do not simply tell them to strike a pose and expect them to figure it out…. I carefully direct them into flattering poses and expressions… from their head down to their feet! Just like I did with Silvia….
Silvia was so full of ‘wiggles’ (my kids’ expression for restless energy), every time I posed her and turned around for my camera, she would move and I would have to start again 
Once I figured out how to ‘pause’ her though, she would lock eyes with my camera in a way that made me feel like she was looking into my soul!
